2017年7月13日至7月18日，生殖医学国家重点实验室沙家豪教授团队刘明兮副教授、博士研究生花荣代表实验室应邀参加了在美国华盛顿举行的第50届美国生殖研究学会（Society for the Study of Reproduction, SSR）年会。

花荣介绍了“TCTE1 is a conserved component of the dynein regulatory complex and is required for motility and metabolism in mouse spermatozoa”的相关工作，同时美国科学院院士Martin Matzuk在特邀报告中着重介绍该工作的重要意义。

此外, 花荣博士近期在减数分裂方面的工作被大会认可，应邀做了题为“Fbxo47 dependent ubiquitination mediates the telomeres attachment and chromosome movement during the meiosis”的报告，该报告为Meiosis and DNA Damage专场的仅有的2个会场报告之一。刘明兮老师应邀做了题为“TH2BBP, a Small Protein Encoded by a Putative Long Noncoding RNA, Negatively Regulates Proliferation of Undifferentiated Spermatogonia by Affecting Chromatin Structure”的报告，报告受到与会同行的一致认可。
